Sports massage is a form of massage which is used to address and alleviate discomfort due to issues such as with muscle tension or soreness, muscle overuse, stress, and anxiety. It involves a combination of techniques, including effleurage and petrissage to stimulate blood circulation, release muscle tension by targeting specific muscles and soft tissues, and promote flexibility.
Sports massage is by no means limited to sports persons. It is just as effective for anyone who is experiencing discomfort associated with occupational and everyday stresses, recovering from a past injury, or simply need a chance to get away for a relaxing massage. In this modern world, the constant use of mobile phones and laptops are leading more and more people to experience back and neck pain due to poor postural alignment.
Katie adapts her massage style and pressure for each of her clients and can offer a relaxing or deep tissue massage. The depth of pressure is always to your preference to ensure clients are happy and comfortable, whether that is using very light pressure, to deep pressure.
Katie is Sports Massage VTCT Level 3 Qualified and is studying VTCT Level 4.

Katie is a Student Emmett Technique Practitioner M6 and may occasionally work with Claire and Simon on clients. Katie uses Emmett Technique during her massage treatments to alleviate muscle and soft tissue restriction/tightness.
Katie uses grapeseed oil as her massage medium. If there are any allergies, please do let us know.
